Introduction
To deliver a Strategic Technology Area strategy aligned portfolio of successful technology innovation projects with plans to move from one Technology Readiness level (TRL) to the next towards full commercialisation.

Specification
•Assist the head to develop divisional budgets and forecasts for EXCO and Board approval
•New funding opportunities are identified and additional income was raised from third party investors
•An effective eco system is built around the portfolio including key stakeholder relations
•Project information is accurately and completely recorded on the fund management system
•Ensure timeous and accurate reporting as per requirements
•Assist applicants with building a fundable opportunity and to assess Investment opportunities
•Provides support and assistance to projects to achieve their milestones
•Pro-active identification of project risks and portfolio opportunities, together with project teams
•Perform due diligence with a focus on financial as well as the technical aspects of TIA projects and programs
•All aspects of the project life cycle from sourcing to exit are efficiently managed
•Facilitate Commercialisation of TIA projects/investments
•Build a pipeline of investment opportunities for the strategic technology areas
•Perform client-centric and value adding project management of TIA projects/investments

Requirements
•4 year Bachelor degree in Science,
•A Science degree plus a Financial related qualification
•3 years commercialisation experience within technology innovation environment
•2 years’ experience in a commercial or portfolio management context
•Knowledge of PFMA and
•Financial and non-financial support trends for technology development
•Good budget and report writing skills
